Sunday’s final round produced a different sight—and sound—on the island par 3: the dreaded shank.
Brendon Todd picked the wrong time (not that there’s a right time) to hit one off the hosel, nearly hitting his golf ball unto that other island you see on TV. But to the three-time PGA Tour winner’s credit, he also gave us the best reaction of the week. Check it out:
Unfortunately for Todd, things didn’t get much better on the hole. After hitting from the drop zone, he found the front of the green, but then three-putted for a triple bogey. A closing birdie (bounceback!), though, still gave him a one-under 71 and his best finish in the tour’s flagship event.
And it’s not like everyone will be talking about his embarrassing moment for too long. Again, a LOT has been happening on that hole this week—and we’ve still got a few more hours of play.
