Here’s the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2020 RBC Heritage

News

A foursome shares the lead at 15 under par entering the final round of the RBC Heritage on Father’s Day Sunday: Tyrrell Hatton, Abraham Ancer, Webb Simpson and Ryan Palmer. Yet don’t be surprised if none of these golfers is wearing the plaid coat and taking pictures with Harbour Town’s famed lighthouse in the background come day’s end.

For starters, there are 21 players within three strokes of the lead, setting up the potential for all sorts of drama over the final 18 holes. Additionally, of the four at the top, only Simpson has previously finished in the top 10 at the RBC Heritage. He has done it twice in his 10 previous career starts (2013: second; 2018: T-5). Palmer has played in the event 10 times, his best showing a T-11 in 2017. Hatton is only playing for the second time in his career, and Ancer is playing for the first.

There’s also this recent tournament trend: The last seven winners on Hilton Head Island have trailed by at least two shots after 54 holes. Carl Pettersson in 2012 was the last third-round leader to hold on to his advantage and become the champion.

The 75 players who made the cut are playing for a total prize money payout of $7.1 million, with the winner earning $1.278 million. Here’s the prize money payout breakdown for each golfer in the field. After the end of the tournament, we’ll update this to list specific names and how much money they earned.
