This pelvis rotation test shows whether you can successfully separate your lower body from your upper body in the golf swing. That separation is what puts the club on plane and allows you to create speed without losing control or coming crashing down over the top. When everything moves together or you slide instead of rotate, you lose power and often come over the top, leading to slices. Train this movement and your strike and ball flight will improve together.
